The V&A and Art Jameel have announced Khandakar Ohida (b. 1993, India) as the winner of the 7th edition of the Jameel Prize, an international award worth £25,000 for contemporary art and design inspired by Islamic tradition.

The National Pavilion UAE closes its eighth participation at the Biennale Arte 2024, with Abdullah Al Saadi: Sites of Memory, Sites of Amnesia. Curated by Tarek Abou El Fetouh, the exhibition welcomed 308,719 visitors at the pavilion since its inauguration on 20 April 2024.

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) opens an extensive exhibition program dedicated to Islamic craftsmanship.
