He was born and raised in La Comunidad Valenciana, where he studied and trained as an architect at the Polytechnic University of Valencia before joining the architecture honors program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Stuart Weitzman School of Design. MAESTRO then spent several years in Europe developing a professional practice as an architect and designer, working as a creative for firms such as the Bjarke Ingels Group (B.I.G.), before beginning his artistic career.

In 2021, MAESTRO immigrated to the United States and acquired a cheap phone plan. Lacking data, the images on his screen often failed to load, and MAESTRO found himself intrigued by his own frustration. Over the following months, while working to rebuild his career as an architect in California, MAESTRO began to draw pixels. Soothed by the physical and methodical nature of the work, MAESTRO drew more pixels. Then more.

Other subjects, icons of American popular culture and global art history, followed. In late 2021, MAESTRO was accepted into the Santa Barbara Art Association. Over the next three years, he began to cultivate a loyal social media following and establish himself as a presence at local galleries, including the nationally-respected Sullivan Goss.

MAESTRO has collaborated with many LA-based creatives and galleries, the likes of DOPEHAUS STUDIO and NeueHouse Hollywood. His work has been shown, among other venues, at the Charles Addams Fine Arts Gallery, the :iidrr Gallery in Manhattan, Graffiti Library in Los Angeles, The Victorian in Santa Monica, and Just Another Gallery in Philadelphia. His first solo exhibition, “LOADING” will open at the HOMME Gallery in Washington D.C. on April 3rd, 2025.
