Breathtaking Burj Khalifa views at this Downtown gem.
If ending your workday with some stunning sunset views, sundowners and a wide selection of snacks, is your idea of unwinding, then this Downtown haunt is just the place for you! Conveniently located off Sheikh Zayed Road, at Dusit Thani, this hidden gem has been creating quite the buzz amidst Dubai’s nightlife aficionados, since it first opened in 2018.
With a menu that boasts of some of the finest fusion food from across the globe, paired with house beverages and a separate shisha select- you’re literally spoilt with choice here. Think of your Asian, Italian and American favorites, but all under one roof!
We kicked off our tastings with a passionfruit and mint infused drink, a plate of peanut-citrus glazed prawns served with a cheese dip and bread to go along.
The citrus prawns had distinctively Asian flavors and were served crispy-hot. Tad bit oily for my taste but still struck the perfect balance between sweet and savory. These come with a sesame-mayo dip to go along. Safe to say, these crispy bites were quick to disappear off our plates and we were left wishing for more. We recommend you also try truffle fries that are great as a side dish and go well with most drinks.
Even before we’d finished our starters, a sumptuous meal of seafood, consisting of pan-fried sea bass and grilled salmon was brought to our table. The sea bass, mixed in cashew yuzu dressing and served on a bed of soba noodles, was a treat to our tastebuds. The dressing was balanced while the pickled radish gave it a lovely lemony flavor. The grilled salmon- a healthier opt- was spot on in taste and texture and the salad didn’t disappoint either. Despite feeling full already, we couldn’t help but indulge on servings of this ocean feast.
Before calling it a night, we ensured to end on a sweet note. Our sweet select included a platter of minis- which allows you to pick up to five pastries from their long list of delectable dessert- which, we got our hands – rather teeth, into a little bit of everything. Our top recommendation is the honey cake with raspberry and the dark chocolate truffle.
While we missed out on the alfresco dining experience because of the sweltering summer heat, the air-conditioned glass dome built around, ensures you have the best time without a meltdown! Having said that, we can’t wait to be back to bask in the beautiful Burj Khalifa views in winter.
