Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), has announced the opening of applications for The Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award 2024, with submissions welcome until January 31, 2024.
To coincide with COP28 and the Year of Sustainability UAE, Blane De St. Croix: Horizon, will reveal major new artworks from a study of UAE environment.
The NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Art Gallery’s auxiliary venue, The Project Space, will open its final exhibition for the season, Symbiotic: Hyperreal, by Emirati artists and brothers Talal Al Najjar and Ziad Al Najjar, tomorrow, June 1, at 5:30pm. The exhibition will run for two weeks from Thursday, June 1 to Wednesday, June 14.
The winning submission, Shaheeq, is inspired by the UAE’s mangrove trees and their ability to inspire hope and practical solutions to the climate crisis.
