Today an artist has to joggle many roles in order to build a successful career.
The Artist Boot Camp is an intensive four week online marathon for emerging and mid-career artists that will focus on a wide range of subjects that will help the artist to build and strengthen their brand, grow the exposure on social media channels, create a pro website, market their work and generate sales. During the one-on-one consulting a clear strategy is planned out for the artists to follow according to their creative and professional goals.
The course is led by Slava Noor as well as Julia Smolenkova. More than fifty United Arab Emirates based artists have successfully completed the online course.
There are special guests like New York based art curator and writer Nina Mdivani, Dubai based Italian artist Manasse , Milan based exhibit designer Andrea Isola, Beirut based art historian and art curator Maie El-Hage as well as other established artists and reputable art professionals.

Slava Noor, Founder of Arte & Lusso
Slava Noor is a digital marketer and the founder and the editor of Arte & Lusso. She has consulted dozens of artists on how to create a strong brand and market their artwork through social media channels as well as the website. Having worked for years as a journalist, she emphasises the importance of having good relationship with media and other key players in the art field.
Julia Smolenkova, Artist and Gallerist
Julia Smolenkova is an award-winning artist and galleries owner in Moscow and Brussels, publisher of two art Journals PhD in the field of the history of art and architecture curator of international art projects, festivals, symposium. As an associate professor Julia works with students at the Stroganov Moscow State Art and Industrial University.

Nina Mdivani, Art Curator and Writer

Nina Mdivani is Georgiani-born and New York-based independent curator, writer and researcher. Her academic background covers International Relations and Gender Studies from Tbilisi State University, Mount Holyoke College and, most recently, Museum Studies from City University of New York. As curator and writer Nina is interested in discovering hidden narratives within dominant cultures with focus on minorities and migrations.
As an active curator Nina Mdivani based in New York reads and encounters countless artist statements. In her portion of the class she will focus on main strategies of how to create a compelling artist statement that will help an artist stand out for other curators or galleries. She will focus on related tone, structure, details to include or highlight. Her presentation will be accompanied by numerous examples that could be later analyzed at your own pace.
Maie El-Hage, Art historian and curator @Maie.Art
Maie El-Hage is an art historian and architect, holding a Master of Arts degree in Art History and Theory from the University of Essex in the UK, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the American University of Beirut. Maie teaches Art Appreciation at the Lebanese American University in her home country of Lebanon.
Maie is a published art journalist. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary artists in the Arab region. She is currently a Contributing Writer at Arte & Lusso. Maie is also a curator, and is currently representing several Arab and European artists, organizing exhibitions for their art projects in the Middle East.
Maie will be sharing her insights on the relationship between an artist and the art world, and what is the role of an art manager or curator. You will gain some insights on how to form strong connections to succeed in the art world.
Maria Burganova, Deputy Director at the Moscow State Museum of Modern and Classical Art.
Maria Burganova is a professor, doctor of science, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of Russia, head of the Department of Monumental Sculpture in Art University, deputy director at the Moscow State Museum of Modern and Classical Art.
She will share her insights on how artists could collaborate with an arts or cultural museum.
Louis Wright, Art Entrepreneur and Founder of Vandalist Art @VandalistArtDXB
Louis Wright, founder of Vandalist Art will talk about the street art scene in UAE.
Vandalist Art specialize in global street market, selling artwork from renowned international artists. They also provide art consultancy as well as art event curation.
Natalia Gergel, Lawyer and Lecturer
Natalia Gergel is a lawyer, lecturer and creator of programs on the legal aspect of design activities, legal representative.

Manasse Rampino, Artist
Manasse Rampino is a Dubai based Italian artist who has made his debut in Dubai art scene during the World Art Dubai. He is known for his pop art paintings in vibrant fluorescent colours depicting popular Disney cartoons. Manasse’s background in fashion influences his work making his art a unique mix of colour, textile and emotion. Manasse is now represented by the popular Gallery2.
During the Artist Boot Camp marathon Manasse will share tips on creating a strong relationship with art collectors that lead to sales.
Astrid Lesuisse, Resident Art Manager at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown
“Are Hotels the New Art Gallery?”
Astrid Lesuisse, will share her insights on how hotels are turning themselves into “arts hubs.”
Andrea Isola, Exhibit Designer and Co-Founder of Startarch
Andrea graduated in Turin in Architecture and together with his associates he founded Startarch, a specialized studio that projects and design all the details that make an exhibition the experience visitors will enjoy.
Andrea will talk about the main points of an art exhibition/installation during the marathon which will be very insightful for artists and art curators planning to exhibit their work in an art gallery or a public place.
How does it work? The format of the online marathon
All the material is pre-recorded and is available on-demand.
Three options are available for the program:
1. Art Lover: Access to the private IG account and all the materials.
It is for you if you want to get a good insight into the world of art and learn from the experts without committing to doing exercises. You can go at your own pace and access the materials whenever and wherever it is convenient for you.
2 . New heights: Access plus feedback on activities + access to IG support/growth group. Limited spots available
This option is great for serious artists who want to get feedback on activities which include evaluating their social media channels and website, their artist profile, the marketing plan as well as the branding strategy.
You will also be invited to a private support group for artists so you can grow together.
3. Pro: Access, feedback + 1 on 1 consultation with Slava Noor after the course + 2 week mentorship. Limited spots available
