Why were you so passionate about featuring only female artists for this exhibition and why do you think that is so important?

The decision to feature only female artists for this exhibition stems from a deep  desire to celebrate and amplify the voices of women within the art world. Historically, women have been underrepresented and often overlooked in the art scene, and it is important now more than ever to shine a spotlight on their unique perspectives, creativity, and narratives. By focusing solely on female artists, we are not only highlighting their incredible talent but also challenging traditional gender roles and embracing the diversity of experiences that women bring to the table. “Elysian Awakening of Powerful Spring” is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and beauty of womanhood, allowing each artist to express her individual journey and challenge societal norms.

How does this exhibition highlight the transformative power of female artistry and the diverse ways in which women contribute to the art world, both as established masters and emerging talents?

This exhibition celebrates the blissful and forceful transformative energy of artistic womanhood, bringing together an international selection of female artists whose work spans diverse mediums and voices. Featuring both established masters and emerging talents from Dubai and beyond, the exhibition creates a powerful dialogue that underscores the profound impact women have on the art world.

The works on display showcase the unique diversity women bring to art—capturing everything from the strength and intensity of transformation to the illumination of emotional and cultural experiences. Masters like Fatma Latooh and Barbara Duran explore the evolving nature of the artist, using light and canvas to reflect the power of creation. Emerging artists Sara and Zeina offer their reinterpretations of heritage and culture, weaving contemporary sensibilities into traditional craftsmanship.
