The Japanese contemporary artist Shinji OHMAKI and Taiwanese artist LO Yi-Chun are currently on presentated in Fāng Wù at the Juming Museum, featuring the works of 20 artists from across Asia, which is the most ambitious and expansive international group exhibition of the institution so far.

This exhibition reaffirms the active role of matter from a non-anthropocentric standpoint, exploring the in-depth meanings and dynamism of matter through contemporary art experiments.

Through reconnecting human and non-human worlds as well as material and non-material realms, Fāng Wù highlights both the unique “locality” of Taiwan and Asia and the significance of “trans-locality”. We warmly invite everyone to visit the exhibition and explore how these “local objects” can offer new perspectives on drawing insights from nature and the environment, and fostering a deeper understanding of the world.
