The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) unveils the winning artwork of the 5th Ithra Art Prize, ON (عن) by Iraqi-Finnish artist Adel Abidin, selected from over 10,000 submissions by an esteemed jury of international academics, gallerists, curators and artists. ON (عن) will be unveiled at Ithra before joining Ithra’s prestigious permanent collection.

Bally Foundation’s New Art-Filled Paradise at Lake Lugano

The Bally Foundation is pleased to announce the imminent opening of its new headquarters at Villa Heleneum in Lugano on 20 April. This opening marks the beginning of a new important phase in the foundation’s evolution. After 17 years, it will finally have a permanent home in an exceptional location on the shores of Lake Lugano. Since 2006, the foundation’s mission has been to promote art and culture by highlighting themes important to Bally, such as innovation, support for creativity, and environmental awareness.

The fifth edition of the Art Encounters Biennial – My Rhino Is Not a Myth. art science fictions – which will take place between May 19 and July 16, 2023, is dedicated to the intersection of art, science, and fiction, exploring their potential to recover reality as a web of complex processes. Curated by Adrian Notz together with a group of young curators, this year’s edition will take place over eight weeks, between May 19 and July 16, 2023, bringing together artists from 21 countries, 13 of which with new, specially designed works for this event.
