ToDA Launches the First UAE-Based Philharmonic Orchestra

The Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) is proud to announce the debut of UAE's first homegrown orchestra—the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra. Under the masterful direction of esteemed conductor Nicolas Mann, the symphony promises a captivating season of concerts that will reintroduce audiences to classical music with a fresh and engaging approach. The lineup of concerts will feature narration, fascinating facts, and a hint of humour, making each event more than just a traditional musical performance.

The first performance is set to take place on Saturday, 21st September 2024, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM at ToDA, located in Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. Titled “Baroque & Beyond,” this concert will showcase a rich program of Baroque classics, offering an unforgettable evening that transports attendees through timeless masterpieces by Vivaldi, Purcell, and other legendary composers. This captivating show promises a full immersion into a rich tapestry of sound, celebrating the era’s most iconic works. Following this, “Classical & Beyond” on October 19th, “Romantic & Beyond” on November 23rd and “Impressionism & Beyond” on December 27th will guide audiences through different musical eras. Additional performances are planned for 2025, continuing this captivating musical experience into the new year.

Leading the charge is Nicolas Mann, the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra, award-winning conductor and celebrated violinist known for his captivating performances on the international stage. Having performed across Europe and renowned venues such as the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France, Mann brings his extensive experience and passion for music to the UAE, further solidifying his role as a prominent cultural ambassador for the country.
