A one-month immersive dining experience inviting Dubai to reconnect through art, flavor, and shared moments, set in Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue with breathtaking views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain.

Third Avenue at Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue announces the launch of “Edible Art: Heart of Chroma” an exclusive one-month collaboration between renowned contemporary artist Kristel Bechara, Chef Shehab Medhat and Third Avenue, beginning April 16th.

Bringing together the expressive power of visual art and the precision of haute cuisine, Edible Art transforms dining into a sensory journey designed to inspire, comfort, and reconnect. Rooted in storytelling and creativity, the experience offers guests a moment to slow down and engage with art in its most immersive form—through taste.

A DIALOGUE BETWEEN CANVAS AND PLATE
At the heart of the concept is a seamless translation of Kristel Bechara’s Heart of Chroma series into an eight-course culinary experience. Each dish is directly inspired by a painting, capturing its color palette, emotional depth, and narrative, and reimagining it through ingredients, textures, and technique.

Rather than a traditional menu, Edible Art unfolds as a journey—where every course represents a distinct emotion and story, allowing guests to move through an evolving sensory landscape.

THE EIGHT-COURSE EDIBLE EXPERIENCE
The menu is carefully curated to reflect the emotional arc of the artworks, beginning with transformation and ending with a lingering memory:

  • Persephone – The First Bite
A refined chicken liver tartlet balanced with pomegranate gel, caramelized onion, and hazelnut—an opening note that signals the beginning of the journey.
  • Demeter – The Generosity of Earth
An onion-shaped sandwich with caramelized cauliflower, miso, and layered onion textures, celebrating warmth, nourishment, and the richness of the earth.
  • Athena – Wisdom in Simplicity
Salmon tartare paired with compressed green apple, cream cheese, dill oil, and a golden tuile—precise, clean, and perfectly balanced.
  • Circe – The Transformation
A theatrical composition of shrimp, shrimp velouté, white asparagus, and blue spirulina oil, revealed through a moment of transformation at the table.

  • Artemis – Spirit of the Wild
A bold lamb chop glazed with fermented chili, served with smoked corn purée, coriander emulsion, and black garlic cream—instinctive, untamed, and expressive.
  • Nemesis – Balance
Duck breast with strawberry purée infused with sumac, caramelized strawberry, spinach, and duck jus—contrasting elements brought into harmony.
Nemesis
  • Selene – Moonlight
A light yogurt panna cotta with melon, lemon granita, and meringue—soft, refreshing, and gently calming.
  • Echo – The Last Memory
Coconut cake paired with white chocolate mousse, caramelized rhubarb, and rhubarb sauce—delicate and lingering, like a final impression.

Each course reflects the essence of a goddess from Bechara’s series, translating visual storytelling into a culinary language that evolves with every bite. Guests can enjoy the menu as an eight-course tasting experience, priced at AED 420.

AN IMMERSIVE ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE

Kristel Bechara’s Heart of Chroma: Stories of Empowered Existence reimagines mythology through bold color, intricate patterns, and expressive monochromatic figures, exploring themes of strength, transformation, and identity. Through this collaboration, her artworks move beyond the canvas, becoming fully immersive experiences. Guests are invited to not only view the art, but to taste it, engaging with each story in a deeply personal and sensory way.

Chef Shehab Medhat brings these narratives to life with refined technique and creative interpretation, ensuring each dish remains faithful to the artistic vision while standing as a culinary masterpiece in its own right.

A MOMENT OF CONNECTION THROUGH CREATIVITY

More than a dining experience, Edible Art offers a space where art and cuisine come together to create a sense of warmth, reflection, and togetherness. In an atmosphere designed to engage the senses, guests are invited to reconnect with creativity, with each other, and with the simple pleasure of shared experiences.
