Reveals a new self-winding limited edition, the fruit of a collaboration with long term “One of Not Many” talent Ora ïto.

Inspired by a 1957 model, the Patrimony collection launched in 2004 pays tribute to the grand watchmaking tradition, concealing a complex construction beneath its understated aesthetic. The collection’s 20th anniversary celebration concludes with the new Patrimony self-winding reference in a 100-piece limited edition, the result of a collaboration with designer Ora ïto.

The new Patrimony self-winding model, a 100-piece limited edition, embodies understated elegance and timeless simplicity. Featuring a 40mm yellow gold case and a tone-on-tone gold dial with concentric circles reflecting light, the design echoes the cambered surface of the dial. Ora Ïto, an astronomy enthusiast, likens the dial’s play of light to the Baily Pearls phenomenon during a solar eclipse.

Yellow gold is prominent in the hour markers, ‘pearl’ minute track, and slender curved hands, lending a subtle vintage touch, while the discreet date at 6 o’clock and the Vacheron Constantin logo beneath the sapphire crystal enhance the minimalist aesthetic. On the reverse, the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the in-house Calibre 2450 with High Watchmaking finishes, including circular graining, Côte de Genève, and a Maltese cross-adorned oscillating weight. The watch is completed with a burgundy calfskin strap, its rectangular pattern adding a vintage contrast to the circular geometry of the case and dial.
