Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi shares a selection of upcoming cultural programmes and community-led initiatives taking place across the emirate.

The inaugural Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial launched with an exciting array of art installations and activities over the weekend, transforming Abu Dhabi into a celebration of creativity and culture.

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi’s House of Artisans has successfully concluded its participation at the “Revelations China” exhibition in Beijing, an International Biennial of Crafts and Creation which showcased hundreds of creators around the world and their exceptionally unique pieces. Held as part of Beijing Design Week 2024, China’s sole national creative design event took place between September 19 to 23, 2024 at Beijing’s National Agricultural Exhibition Centre.

Abu Dhabi Art, under the remit of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, has announced that two exhibitions: Beyond Emerging Artists 2023; and Gateway: Maqam, will be presented for the first time in Kochi, India from 12 July to 15 August 2024.

Building on the success of the inaugural grant scheme in 2023, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the UAE currently under construction on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island, have launched the second round of the Zayed National Museum Research Fund. The fund continues to uphold the legacy of UAE Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, while fostering research into the culture and history of the nation.

Louvre Abu Dhabi has announced its highly anticipated series of upcoming exhibitions, which are set to enthrall art enthusiasts and culture connoisseurs from around the globe. With a wide array of themes and collaborations, the 2024 – 2025 exhibitions will highlight the museum’s dedication to nurturing artistic dialogue and fostering a deeper appreciation for global cultures.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Abu Dhabi Art, an influential platform anchored in the WANASA region art scene, is welcoming galleries across the globe for the 15th edition of the fair, taking place from 22 to 26 November 2023 at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.
