«Brèche» is an organic dive through matter, light and memory – a 30-day photogrammetric journal of real-life 3D scans. This hybrid narrative sculpture blurs the line between macro and micro perspectives while connecting moments and places of the past.
«Brèche» was Sébastien’s first large-scale immersive installation back in 2019, a deeply meditative and very personal audiovisual work crafted with materials from his everyday life into sensitive landscapes that resonate with guts and soul. To sculpt light and shapes he combined techniques from his experience in the video game and VR industry along with analog and digital glitch art.
The sound design, an equally vital element of this immersive work, was a collaboration with the Taiwanese sound artist Lu Yi. Using a cinematic approach, they merged cinematic drones with noise music to create a vibrant and powerful hybrid sound.
As the 3D collage sequences of «Brèche» expand, the viewer is slowly drawn into the centre of the “breach” where matter and memories dissolve into pulses of primal, raw energy.
