Street Style of fashion Capitals
There are quite a few cities which could make a great influence on the world of fashion but if we are talking about the most important fashion capitals there are only four which undeniably make all the rules: the Big Four of Fashion - London, Paris, Milan and New York.

There are quite a few cities which could make a great influence on the world of fashion but if we are talking about the most important fashion capitals there are only four which undeniably make all the rules: the Big Four of Fashion – London, Paris, Milan and New York.

If we recall that there is a theory of “bottom-up” fashion movement, that is, when subcultures set the tone for fashion, shaping the street style, and thus it hits the runways, then street style will be its good illustration. And if we turn to history, then some periods were marked by the emergence of new styles that were born on the streets. Street style  offers spontaneous, accessible wardrobe lessons. Each of these cosmopolitan cities has its own sartorial tone, visible on the backs of its inhabitants.

Note: the founder of street style photography  was Bill Cunningham , who has been shooting for The New York Times for almost 40 years

New York

Residents of this metropolis have a completely unique sense of style. Outfits of street fashion in New York are imbued with the spirit of freedom – bold prints, unexpected combinations, vintage apparel and outfits from the latest fashion collections, an abundance of accessories or their absence, original shoes – in New York it is impossible to become an object of ridicule, there are no rules and stereotypes.

Most New Yorkers prefer stylish yet comfortable clothing. The most amazing thing that it is considered fashionable to dress up regardless of age. Thanks to huge divercity of cultures, style in Big Apple is absolutely unique. They are combining everything from their closet to find own style. And they are dealing with it perfectly

London

London is associated with trench coats and closed oxford shoes, light negligence and freedom, a combination of sophisticated feminine clothing with massive accessories. A distinctive feature of the street style of London is the addition of all sorts of details that create a solid look of a London woman. Baby doll dress (for example from Ted Baker) combining with massive boots – it’s all about London street style.

Milan

Milan street fashion is comfortable, but at the same time it is beautiful. Clothing, according to the Italians, should be universal. The street fashion should be so comfortable that a Milan resident can put an outfit on in the morning, go to work and go out afterwards without changing it.

How can the street fashion in Milan be defined? Natural, sensual and feminine. Milan street style is simple, but at the same time, clothes, shoes and accessories – everything should of the highest quality, whether it is the latest collection or a bargain dress sourced at a local flea market. Milan is characterized by the usual classic cut of clothes, but with its own twist, and always complemented by chic accessories. Also, women in Milan love to wear feminine costumes combinig them with white sneakers or high heels. It were Milan girls who made white sneakers trendy.

Paris

Paris is a city surrounded by romance. Parisian street style is sophisticated chic. Parisians stubbornly do not want to recognize the elementary and multi-layered, which designers are trying to impose on us in recent years. For Parisians, priority is high-quality clothing, thanks to which the street style of Paris is feminine, neutral and versatile.

Minimum things – maximum chic. In truth, Parisian street style is a dark blue or black blazer, a narrow pencil skirt, loose pants, a dress of an unobtrusive color, low black suede or leather shoes, the heel of which is 5-7 cm. Looks can be finished with a scarf, a necklace or a bag. Parisians prefer natural notes in everything: make up, hairstyle, manicure. Ballet shoes and stripped vest are the best friends of any girl in romantic town.
