Following the success of its debut during the summer edition, the format Rome is My Runway is back: a special collective fashion show to promote emerging brands, rigorously selected on national territory.
The emphasis can only fall on Made in Italy, characterized by an incomparable attention to detail. The fil rouge that unites the four selected designers for the occasion is the excellent craft of the creative process, the quality of the raw materials and the sartorial workings, the refinement of prints and materials.
For these designers tradition is something vital from where to begin adding innovation and creativity, starting from a product that embodies the Italian values of “bello” and “well-made”. Before being fashionable and contemporary, the garments of the four collections that will be shown at “Rome is My Runway” reflect the culture and values of Made in Italy, which never renounces to the poetry of a creative ferment, referring to an intimate tale of family, artisanal workshops and traditions handed down generation by generation.
Asciari:
A heritage of eradicated values in the founders: two brothers and their mother. Federico, Pietro and Marta, immersed in the cultural and creative aesthetic suggestions of Sicily, appreciate how precise balance, good taste and luxury are fundamentals of every life manifestation.
Asciari was born in 2016, with the intent of creating an essential and atemporal style, founded on specific aesthetic and cultural canons, in which beauty is intertwined with good manners, elegance is recognized in those who do not flaunt it and extreme quality is rediscovered to the touch.
The FW 20/21 collection “Britannica” is an original reinterpretation of the British style. The modern London combined with the English countryside represent the inspiration of the collection with its colors, fabrics, architecture and nature.
Chiara Perrot:
Chiara Perrot is the name of the brand created in 2012 by the homonymous designer and architect of Neapolitan origins. Sophisticated garments with youthful taste are born from her predilection for art and beauty, aimed to the creation of a rigorous and clean image.
Through experimentation, the designer plays with volumes enriched with precious workings, paint on textiles and exclusive fabrics. Point of strength of the brand is Made in Italy, as well as the quality of the fabrics and the sartorial workings.
The FW 20/21 collection chooses a language with a youthful mood, full of grace, romantic tones, crossed by a feminine and energetic allure. Colors and hand painted elements make it more vivid and luminous. The cuts are wide, vaguely oriental in jackets and trousers, the dresses are light and well structured; forms and materials refer to the ideal of an elegant, refined and feminine woman, in her movements and behavior.
Gentile Catone:
Gentile Catone was born in 2017 from the choice of Francesco Gentile and Chiara Catone to dedicate themselves to beauty and fashion. Couple in life and work, one spurs the other, one ignites the ideas of the other.
A kaleidoscope of delicate inspirations and futuristic visions, exchanges and shared experiences. Gentile Catone creates sophisticated prints, shaping its multi-faceted world, in which contemporary effervescence, nostalgic allure and bold romanticism find their dissonant harmony.
The brand is ambassador of a spontaneous and eversive femininity, impalpable but incisive, changing and versatile, profoundly unique. The collections by Gentile Catone transport us inside a story, different every season, revealing the iridescent and magmatic universe that hides behind its clothes. Distinctive traits of the brand are refined and contemporary lines, the extreme sophistication of prints and materials, the precious trimmings and the high quality of fabrics, particularly those natural and eco-sustainable, with reduced environmental impact, made by companies with specific certifications. The FW 20-21 collection celebrates beauty in the intriguing form of voluptuous and shadowed plants, charming and poisonous flowers, enigmatic creatures that emerge from a smoky and opalescent landscape. A terrible and inebriating nature and the desire to indulge to her are the carrier themes of the collection, characterized by sophisticated and peculiar prints, precious fabrics like silk twill, mohair and the romantic design openly romantic.
Sartoria 74
High tailoring, luxury and elegance are the three words that express better the identity of the brand Sartoria 74. The idea was born in 2018 from the couturier Francesca Ciccarelli, who ventures in the art of tailoring, from childhood, an art handed down generation by generation. Influenced by the sartorial Neapolitan tradition, the designer decides to look out to the world of clothing, distinguishing herself for exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
Sartoria 74 addresses to a woman with a strong personality, with an innate class and a timeless elegance.
Francesca Ciccarelli presents her first collection in Shangai last October, a collection made only by suits, expression of the excellent Neapolitan male tailoring, declined in a female key. Precious silks, brocades and pallets are the fabrics used for the reinterpretation of this important garment, an evergreen that has left a tangible mark in the history of fashion. The brand is about to present its third collection dedicated to the suit. This time we will see a different interpretation: a suit created for a fresh and dynamic woman, without renouncing to elegance.
