Alia Ahmad. Aspects [مظاهر]

18 September – 4 November 2024

Lawrie Shabibi is thrilled to announce Aspects [مظاهر], a solo exhibition of the Saudi Arabian painter Alia Ahmad. The exhibition will be her first with the gallery and will feature a new body of intimately sized paintings. Deconstructing the various elements that comprise her world, Ahmad creates her own lexicon of forms – abstracted vegetal, floral and geometric elements, motifs sometimes resembling bacteria, trees, or webs, and others, describing industrial features within the fast-developing landscape.
