Prisca Tiphaine is a dubai based fashion designer with a passion for art and photography.
Prisca saw the fascinated landscape as a way to transmit Dubai’s identity and in 2014 established “City X Wonders” as a fashion line, which celebrates Dubai diversity, growth and happiness.
The brand Dubai Wonders is one of the kind and the collage of Dubai landscape is like “sightseeing” on one item.

Subtle hues, embroidery details, lace and floral touches categorizes Stone Grey’s 2019 Ramadan collection. Inspired by the works of international artists and sculptors including Carla Cascales Alimbau, Franz Kline and Cy Twombly, the 25-year old designer, Jino Mary Joy introduces abayas, bishts, kaftans, long dresses and half length skirts for the everyday modern women this Holy month.
Commenting on the collection, the designer said, “Over the years, Ramadan attire has evolved from black abayas to vibrant kaftans and trendy loose-fitting wraps. Thiscollection has been created keeping in mind thecontemporary Middle Eastern women with high quality fabrics, fine detailing and embroidery”.
The collection is modest and casual in subtle pastel shades and pops of bright colours, perfect for everyoccasion this Ramadan. Each piece is made from high quality fabrics embellished with hand-made detailing. The primary fabric used is Heavy Satin, along with other fabrics that include Voile- Cotton blends and Rayon- Polyester blends.
‘ARSHYS’ the Emirati fashion label synonymous with bold and innovative designs released two capsule collections on the runway. The pre SS20/Ramadan capsule collection aptly titled ‘Into the Starry Night’ and the other titled “Perplexed”. The brand’s exquisite runway designs will be available to pre-order from the 1422 concept store in City Walk II, Dubai. The designer took inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous artwork, after which the collection is named. Meticulously selected fabrics and accents come into play to bring this collection to life. The designer introduced her signature spin on each piece by creating her own hand-drawn illustrated graphic prints of the stars and painted pastel stripes, reflecting a refined artistic aesthetic along with positive reinforcement messages.

Sophy G “Desert Rose” capsule collection of abayas is metaphoric way to express the beauty of the silent Arab desert under the shelter of velvet night sky indulged in the light of billion of starts which are resembled by the artisan pattern on the rich silk of our abayas.
In every movement of the beautiful silk garment it is a metaphor of the fresh sea breeze on a hot day, it is a peaceful sound of running water in the marble fountain, it is a heartbeat of Arabic poetry and meditative curves of Arab letters.
Sophy G designer abayas distinctively featured with hand-made pleating, rich colours and designer combination of the print that enriches every piece of the collection with a new vision to reflect endless inspiration sourced in the traditional ladies’ garment cherished in the Middle East since dawn of times.
The Scissors Tailoring Studio
The is located on the Palm Jumeirah and run by a very qualified and professional Designer / Master tailor from Ukraine, Oksana Davydenko who produced ready to wear collection besides the custom made to order. Oksana has several years experience as a designer / Tailor in Ukraine as well as having her own atelier in Ukraine prior to moving to Dubai. She has created simple Ramadhan outfits inspired by the Asian culture and the summer flowers theme. Florals and garden theme in silk and polyester, are suitable for iftar or suhoor gatherings. The collection is available in the studio.
Myrto Dramountani is a Fashion Designer and with a background in Architecture. Having studied fashion at Parsons, the New School for Design, Myrto gained the exposure to the New York City fashion scene.
The inspiration for her collections is the fabric itself, which she approaches as a three dimensional surface.The laser cut patterns create visual illusions and give spatial properties to her designs.This approach is achieved by using the latest computational design techniques and digital fabrication technology.
“Fashion for me has an architectural dimension and application. We construct clothes for the same reason we construct a house: we seek a shelter for the body and we achieve that through geometric designs. Our clothes protect us, create feelings, impressions and function with us. So does the space we live, work or been active in”.
