“THEM” is a group exhibition, curated by the Gallery Ditector Ahmad AlrashidIs, that celebrates the diverse cultural landscape of the UAE through the works of artists who call thiscountry their home.

Sacha Jafri, one of the world’s leading contemporary artists, has been commissioned by the British Embassy in UAE to create this historic piece as a very personal gift for the ruling family of Dubai. “World Artist Of The Year” winner, Jafri, the Dubai-based British artist, started working live on the painting entitled, “King Charles III Coronation”, during the UAE’s British Embassy official Coronation celebrations in May 2023.

In Dorsa Asadi’s Strange Fruit, the affective experience of living through the recent unrest
in Iran and its long aftermath is translated into a tripartite Dantean arc. Each part of its
narrative maps to a part of his epic allegorical poem the Divine Comedy, which served as
a vision for what would become the modern Italian language.
In Salem Alshamsi’s paintings and sculptures, one encounters a blend of repetitive patterns, geometric elements, and enigmatic Arabic calligraphy unfolds, captivating viewers with its unreadable allure.
