The 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh, – which will run from Saturday 9 May to Sunday 22 November 2026 at the Giardini, the Arsenale and in various locations around Venice. The pre-opening will take place on May 6, 7, and 8, while the awards ceremony and inauguration will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
The National Pavilion UAE announces the appointment of Azza Aboualam, Emirati architect and Assistant Professor at the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises at Zayed University, as curator of the UAE’s participation in the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2025.

The Kuwaiti National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature (NCCAL) announces its fifth national participation at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition — La Biennale di Venezia. The pavilion titled ‘Rethinking Rethinking Kuwait’ explores new methods for architectural and urban design that emerge from the intersections of space and time. The project is an ongoing investigation attempting to rectify the effects of modernist urban planning that led to the erasure of most of Kuwait’s historic built fabric.
