Rome is famous for its culinary traditions and world’s best Italian restaurants and Taste of Roma is a true celebration of all things haute cuisine.

The food festival Taste of Roma is one of the most anticipated events in the capital as the festival’s guests have a unique opportunity to sample the menus of Rome’s most elegant and luxurious restaurants all at one place.

Apart from indulging on dishes prepared by Michelin starred chefs, guests could also participate in an array of master classes and other activities.

I was very excited to meet the world famous three-Michellin starred chef Heinz Beck of La Pergola restaurant in Rome. He happily posed with his fans(and there were many) and made sure everyone enjoyed the state-of-art dishes.

Crostatina con gelatina di guava decorated with berries was a perfectly balanced combination of soft texture and delicate flavour and beautiful presentation made it a perfect dessert.

I also enjoyed meeting the team of Mirabelle restaurant who definitely had the most fun stand with a buzzing crowd lining up for the Gnocchi al Basilico and the Brexit cake.

Gnocchi al basilico, burro affumicato, spuma di yuzu e bottarga di tonno

Brexit Cake is the latest creation of Chef Marzetti and Pastry Chef Sebastian Delandre. This masterpiece is made of white chocolate, cranberries, fresh mint and cream and is a dessert to indulge on.
